Guy Mintus Trio

Guy Mintus, 22 years old Israeli born pianist, composer and arranger, is a recent recipient of the 'Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award' by ASCAP and of two 'Down Beat Magazine Student Awards' for Outstanding Jazz Performance and Arrangement. Guy currently resides in New York City, studying at the Manhattan School of Music on a full scholarship whilst performing at major venues such as the Kennedy Center, Washington DC, Apollo Theater, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Symphony Space, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola - Jazz At Lincoln Center, Chris' Cafe, Philadelphia, Alvin Ailey Dance Center, Joe's Pub, Birdland, Smalls, Smoke and more.

As an artist, Guy's strong natural curiosity and privilege to interact with the best of mentors has led him to become invested in a variety of musical styles. With creativity as his leading force, Guy is fully dedicated to the exploration and stretch of boundaries between musical traditions and various art disciplines. His recent performances include a US debut tour with "Offlines" - his duet project with Israeli-Turkish multi instrumentalist, Yinon Muallem; a worldwide broadcasted premiere of "Israeli Music" - an Original Fantasy for Clarinet, String Quintet, Piano and Middle Eastern Percussion as well as an upcoming solo piano concert merging the music of Greece, Israel and Turkey for the Samos Young Artists Festival, Greece. Guy has also produced and arranged the project "Yoni Bloch & the Big Band" for the israeli top rock artist, Yoni Bloch, given classical piano solo recitals and worked with improvisatory dance/ theater artists.

Throughout his career, Guy had the honor of sharing the stage/ recording with some incredible musicians. Most notably, jazz artists: Sheila Jordan, Jimmy Owens, Jimmy Cobb, Grammy Winning 'Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra' led by Arturo O'Farrill, Ambrose Akinmusire, Lionel Loueke, Greg Osby, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Miles Okazaki, Dan Weiss, Johnny O'Neal, James Carter, Grammy Award Winner Howard Levy; As well as world music artists: Santur Master Qui Hagigi, Amir Elsaffar, NY Gypsy All Stars, Kanun Master Ariel Qassis, Volkan Incüvez, Sinan Cem Eroglu, Buzuki prodigy Konstantinos Papaioannou, African Kora master - Yacouba Sissoko, Arun Ramamurthy, Rajna Swaminathan, Yinon Muallem, Mor Karabasi, Harel Shachal & Anistar and more.
