John McLaughlin, considered one of the greatest guitar players of all-time, has covered a wide musical swath over the last 40 years. As a pioneer of jazz-rock in the 1970s, he led fusion music’s first supergroup, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and would go on to help redefine flamenco music with a guitar trio that included Paco De Lucia and Al Di Meola. His resume includes pivotal gigs with Georgie Fame, Shakti, Tony Williams and a key role in Miles Davis’ groundbreaking electric ensemble.

Now Hear This s the latest recording of The 4th Dimension and is a further affirmation of the group’s evolution.
