Lara Solnicki, Brian Katz & George Koller

Lara Solnicki is a professional singer, poet and composer. A classically trained singer with a four-octave range, Lara has performed everything from classical music and opera, to most recently jazz, bossa nova, improvised and new music, singing in 10 languages. Toronto-born Lara enjoys a busy performance schedule, appearing regularly with many of Canada's top musicians. She performed in the TD Toronto Jazz Festival in both 2009 and 2010 to standing-room-only audiences, and has held three house gigs in fine dining restaurants. Lara received a BA in 2006 from The Glenn Gould School/ Royal Conservatory of Music, studying voice and piano in the Performance Diploma and Artist Diploma programs. Her debut CD, “A Meadow in December ”, has received generous airplay on the CBC, Espace Musique/Radio Canada and many other stations across Canada.

Brian Katz is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, pianist, recording artist, improviser, composer, and music educator. As a performer and composer, he is noted for bringing classical and world music influences to modern jazz and Jewish music, and is highly regarded as a “free” music improviser, where he blends many of his influences into coherent musical statements.

Edmonton-born George Koller is an award winning bass player and multi-instrumentalist. He has played professionally and extensively within most genres of music and is best known for his work in jazz, free jazz, folk, world and world fusion. As a performer, recording artist and producer for over three decades, George has accumulated hundreds of diverse credits. Some of the artists he has worked with include The Shuffle Demons, Holly Cole, Bruce Cockburn, Loreena McKennitt, Laila Biali, Eliana Cuevas and Julie Michels. In the last decade, he has produced music for Yoga and Indian Classical music artists. His playing of Indian stringed instruments is featured in the motion pictures "Such A Long Journey" and "Possible Worlds".
