Les Petits Nouveaux

Les Petits Nouveaux, a collaborative group from Canada & Sweden, play manouche-jazz.

Canadians Aline Homzy on violin, Tak Arikushi on guitar, Andy Mac on guitar. Jim Sexton on bass and Mikko Hilden, guitarist from Sweden reflect influences deeply rooted in the tradition set by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. Respecting that Django's music evolved significantly near the end of his life, each member contributes their own creative voice with original compositions heard on both their first and newly released albums.

Formed in 2011, the group has appeared at swing dances, jazz clubs and festivals across Canada and Sweden. Invited to play the 2015 Stockholm Jazz Festival, Les Petits Nouveaux played a sold-out show. In June 2017, they were invited by the Alliance Française de Toronto as headliners.

Les Petits Nouveaux were featured at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival in 2016 and were asked to perform again in 2017.
