Megan Jutting Sextet

I have been fortunate to be a part of many great ensembles in Ottawa and Toronto, and have also just begun directing, arranging for and playing in a few of my own projects... stay tuned.

Some highlights of groups I’ve been part of include the Nepean All City Jazz Band on Lead Trumpet for 5 years, Capital Youth Jazz Orchestra on 2nd Trumpet for 2 years and the Yamaha All Star Band at Musicfest Nationals. I am also honoured to have been a founding horn for ‘The Hornettes’ who are based in Ottawa. Humber College ensembles I have been part of include the ‘B’ Big Band, Rhythm & Soul Band, Groove Merchants, African Jazz Ensemble and the Brass Choir led by Al Kay.

I’ve studied with several fantastic teachers including Rick Rangno and Nicholas Dyson in Ottawa, and Steve Crowe and Dave Dunlop in Toronto. Other particularly influential teachers I’ve had through my Humber courses include Al Kay, Brian O’Kane and Mark Promane.
