Quincy Bullen

18-year old jazz pianist Quincy Bullen follows in the footsteps of his Juno award winning father, Eddie Bullen. Quincy has become an experienced, adept keyboardist who puts a charming spin on all his performances. Extraordinarily talented, with a great sense of timing, Quincy ‘wows’ audiences across Ontario and the Caribbean. His style is jazz with a funky vibe. His repertoire includes his own version of popular standards from jazz, R&B and soul as well as his original compositions.
Quincy is a founding member of the Quintessential Boys (a successful teen-jazz band). Quincy’s band now includes a mixture of up and coming musicians and seasoned jazz professionals.

Working with his father, Quincy has released his first solo album,
On Q. It is mostly original material featuring: Larnell Lewis on drums, Alex Toth on bass and Rob Christian on sax. The new CD demonstrates Quincy’s funky jazz vibe and his sensitivity as a composer.

At age seven, Quincy performed at the Caribbean Sunfest Festival for an audience of eight thousand. Since then, he has performed at the Toronto Jazz Festival, Beaches International Jazz Festival, Parti Gras at the Toronto Distillery District, Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, Collingwood Jazz & Blues Festival, Niagara Smooth Jazz Fest, the Mississauga Living Arts Centre and various festivals in the Caribbean.

During the past three years, Quincy has also embarked on an acting career which has yielded him several principal roles on stage, television and in film.
