Sharron McLeod

Sharron McLeod is a jazz singer who has lived and worked in Toronto, Vancouver and New York City. For the past 10 years Sharron has focused on composing, writing, broadcasting and teaching in Toronto. This last year Sharron participated in the G98.7 FM jazz showcase at the Hard Rock Cafe and the Jazz 91 FM 1 Stop Jazz Safari at the Lula Lounge. She has created musical arrangements for theatre in addition to writing her own performance piece and participates regularly at local jazz and theatre festivals. As a broadcast personality Sharron was host of the critically acclaimed jazz radio show Epistrophe on FLOW 93.5FM and went on to being jazz columnist for Metro Morning on CBL Toronto. In 2011-2012 Ms McLeod received critical acclaim for her Trilogy Remixed series, exploring the music of Joni Mitchell,John Lennon, Gil Scott Heron, Leonard Cohen, Nina Simone and Abbey Lincoln. Currently Sharron is working on a sense/memory sound and visual art instillation for Nuit Blanche 2015.
