Rudder is a NYC-based instrumental band. Founded on deep musical relationships and friendships lasting over a decade, this quartet brings an aggressive, driving rock and jam vibe to a purely instrumental setting. Rudder is equally led by its’ four members.

Spectrum Road

A sensational jazz-fusion supergroup, Spectrum Road features Jack Bruce (Cream) bass, Vernon Reid (Living Color) guitar, keyboardist John Medeski (Medeski, Martin, and Wood), and Tony Williams protégé Cindy Blackman-Santana (Lenny Kravitz, Santana), channeling Tony on the drums. Originally conceived as a tribute band to the late great jazz drummer Tony Williams’ Lifetime project, Spectrum Road has evolved into a cohesive group incorporating original tunes into their fiery reworking of pieces from the famed fusion group.

Jeff King's Catalyst

Toronto based Juno award winning saxophonist Jeff King's group Catalyst fuse together jazz, pop, blues, electronic, hip hop, rock, funk, and pretty much everything else in King's original compositions. 

On his highly acclaimed album on G-THREE titled "Catalyst" King pays tribute to two pop classics, Peter Gabriel's "Don't Give Up" and the Beatles "Strawberry Fields"

5 After 4

From 5 After 4 comes six. This highly-acclaimed veteran Toronto contemporary jazz combo makes a welcome return to recording with a sixth album that showcases the sound of four guys playing at the top of their game. The happy outcome is Rome In A Day, scheduled for release on prestigious independent label ALMA Records on June 28 in Canada and August in the US and worldwide.

Bela Fleck & The Flecktones

Bela Fleck returns to Toronto with the original Flecktones, Victor Wooten, Roy "Futureman" Wooten and Howard Levy.

Born and raised in New York City, Béla began his musical career playing the guitar. In the early 1960's, while watching the Beverly Hillbillies, the bluegrass sounds of Flatt & Scruggs flowed out of the TV set and into his young brain. Earl Scruggs's banjo style hooked Béla's interest immediately. "It was like sparks going off in my head" he later said.

Rich Brown

Toronto-born electric bassist Rich Brown has established himself as an incredibly versatile artist. Along with being one of the most called upon electric bass players in Canada, Rich is additionally a composer, producer, bandleader, educator and clinician, broadcaster, and voiceover artist. He has recorded three albums as a leader, including his critically acclaimed album of solo bass compositions 'Between Heaviness & Here.' Rich appears on a plethora of recordings ranging from Jazz to traditional Arabic and Asian music.
