Groove and Graffiti

The TD Toronto Jazz Festival puts a spin on art each year with Groove & Graffiti - workshops led by Mediah and Elicser, two of Toronto’s top aerosol artists. The program is designed to introduce students to a unique form of artistic expression by learning how to translate the creative inspiration of music into a visual art form on canvas, using the difficult, modern medium of aerosol. Groove & Graffiti culminates each year at the Festival with a live demonstration at Nathan Phillips Square - on June 26, while Tanika Charles performs, Mediah, Elicser and students from the Graffiti Club at Central Technical School will demonstrate their aeresol talents by creating an aeresol art mural live.
