Charlotte McAfee-Brunner and her Fireflies

Charlotte McAfee-Brunner and Her Fireflies is a tightly-knit jazz quartet bursting with some of Toronto's hottest young talents. Formed during the pandemic as a park band at a time when live music was scarce, the group quickly formed a loyal following. The band is a unique mix of swinging trombone and powerful vocals (Charlotte McAfee-Brunner), bebop clarinet (Taylor Maslin), jazz-manouche guitar (Tak Arikushi), and modern-informed bass playing (Max Simpson). Since their debut lighting up the Drom Taberna Patio in June 2021, they are in demand for their memorable performances on the Toronto club scene, producing smiles infectiously - in the best sense of the word.
