Jacob Gorzhaltsan is a Juno-nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer, and singer-songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. He performs and records extensively (both as a sideman and leader) with numerous groups in Toronto, and has played in various stages across Canada and the United States. He has had the pleasure of being a part of an incredible cast and crew for several concert productions and recordings with Soulpepper Company, Holla Jazz, and The Ward Cabaret. He is honoured to have shared the stage and backed up a number of acclaimed and internationally-renowned artists. Jacob can be seen regularly playing at venues all around Toronto and the surrounding-area. As well, he is an active music educator, teaching woodwinds and music theory.

Jacob Gorzhaltsan had the great privilege of being nominated with Alex Bird and the Jazz Mavericks for their album, "You Are the Light and the Way" (2021). He also had the honour of recording on Juno-nominated album by Denielle Bassels - "A Little Bit of Love" (2024) and Juno-award winning album, "Heart Parade" by Splash'N Boots (2020). He is also incredibly thankful to have been awarded the Eugene Amaro Memorial Scholarship (2016), Gordon and Anne Wragge Award (2015), Kenny MacLean Memorial Scholarship (2014), Kevin Mackle Memorial Scholarship (2013), MusicFest Humber Scholarship (2012). In 2021, Jacob was awarded a Toronto Arts Council grant to record a full-length album of original material. He released the record, "Farewell to All the Lovely Things", with his indie- folk band Wide Arches on September 12th, 2023. The album has been garnering much attention, receiving warm reviews from critics and charting nine times on Canadian college-radio (CFBX, CJSF, CICK, CJAM, CFRC) including three top 10 appearances.
