Quique Escamilla

From Chiapas Mexico, Quique Escamilla delivers a night of Latin jazz.

Quique’s music is dynamic and packed with emotion. He is one of Toronto’s rising singer-songwriters who hails all the way from the warm and tropical southern state of Chiapas, Mexico to deliver a fusion of bolero, cumbia, huapango with rock, reggae and jazz.

Jaffa Road

Jaffa Road launched their debut CD, Sunplace, in March 2009 to a packed house at The Lula Lounge in Toronto. Since then they have hit the #1 spot on the CIUT world music chart, been nominated for a Juno Award, and won Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting contest for their song LYG (Lo Yisa Goy). They have been invited to perform at a number of prestigious festivals across Canada. Keep your eyes and ears on this exciting Canadian world music band.

Hilario Duran And His Latin Jazz Big Band

Hilario Durán is ranked among the greats, as one of the most important contemporary Cuban pianists and arrangers today. In 2005, Hilario formed his explosive Big Band Orchestra with top Canadian and Cuban musicians in Toronto. The album, “From The Heart”, featuring Paquito D’Rivera, was nominated for a Grammy in 2007, and won a Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year Juno Award.
