Message From The CEO

The Toronto music ecosystem has been hit hard by Covid and post-pandemic is still struggling. Many local artists, including young emerging musicians, have very few places to play. I worry that artists will leave our city, or simply give up.
We cannot lose the next generation of artists! It's bad for Toronto and the cultural vibrancy of our city.
With your help, we can properly fund an incredible 10 days of live music, creating meaningful opportunities for musicians. 100% of net proceeds of the Inaugural Toronto Jazz Fest Gala go to supporting local and Canadian artists playing Jazz Fest 2024 this June. Our goal is to provide a fair paycheque and large audiences to more than 750 musicians across 125+ performances.
The Inaugural Toronto Jazz Fest Gala Fundraiser will be a one-of-a-kind gathering of talent. Scroll down for a look at what we have planned for this special occasion. Join us!
Thank You.
Sincerely,
Howard Kerbel, CEO

Free Concerts

100% of the 2024 Gala fundraising proceeds go to supporting 100+ free performances. At Festival time, we build community through music – it is all about welcoming one another. This year, our free program features "Sounds Like Toronto" where we showcase music from across the cultural communities that make up our city.

Canadian Musicians

Jazz Fest has always had an unwavering commitment to supporting our local artists and those from throughout Canada. It has never been more important to ensure our musicians have a place to play. 90%+ of our free shows this year feature local artists / Canadians where they can build a substantial audience, and we ensure they are paid equitably.
Loony – Emerging Artists

Emerging Artists

One of our goals has also been the support of emerging artists. There is a real risk of losing the next generation of talent due to the scarcity of opportunities in the city. We are determined not to let this happen and actively work towards nurturing these budding musicians.

Join us for this musically lush, energizing, one-of-a-kind evening!
